This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 31, 2009:
I am a problem-solver. Not really, just my ego shouting. When asked a question, I seldom have the good sense to remain silent or to simply say, "I don't know". Why? I don't know. I start cutting to the bottom line, peeling back the issues until I think I've hit sea level and that should be the answer. Surprise!! Not always!! Maybe once in awhile. Nothing gets me going like having someone ask, " How do I do this.......?" and I'm off to the races!

Help

Problem-solver is a good hat to wear. It's much better than the alternative – problem causer. Right or wrong or in-between, as a problem solver you're churning your brain and keeping it active.
Is that Camilla over there to the left of Missy's buns?
I don't see it as your ego shouting. I say it's your loving heart doing it's best.
Yeah, for some reason, I just don't picture you and a closed mouth together … this probably explains those earthquakes we have been having beneath the ocean floor lately, though. I will give the Weather Channel a call and let them know I have solved the mystery. But I have to disagree with something you said. I think you would have the good sense to remain quiet if you know that someone is discovering their own answers. The owl in you would pipe up when when you knew someone was avoiding the answer that was right there bopping them on the head.
Hi Sandi,
That is a beautiful way of expressing being more a part of the solution. I am with Laurie on that one. There is enough pain and suffering in the world without adding to it.
Answers lead to solutions.
Love the picture of you in your dud's!
Laurie, thanks, well, they're are days when my brain churns like Sambo's tiger's and it takes forever for the butter to come. No, that's not Camilla, I believe that's either Helen or Ellen, one of the red-headed twins from Rhode Island. Camilla's got a low center of gravity, meaning she's short and fluffy. That one is way too leggy.
Thank you Carlton, you are very Tactful, not like Barbara at all.
Barbara, I'll be talking with you later, over the sound of engines roaring!
Hi, Liza, thank you but that is my Daughter Missy's behind. I would never show mine in public like that, and God help if she ever see's this!
I'm out the door, Y'all have a Great Pumpkin Of a Halloween!
he he, why does this sound familiar I wonder? not.
Mizz Pumpkinseed is looking lovely today : )
Hi, Tara, I passed Miz Pumpkinseed on my way in and passed on your compliment, she was blushing like a Georgia Peach! Well, we're gearing up for the Big Ride tonight, Barbara, Laurie and I are going for a little midnight ride around the moon later on this evening. Laurie's going Formal, I always ride Western and I have no idea what Barbara's wearing. Not some old bed sheet, I hope. That is so last Century. If you see 3 figures streaking across the moon tonight, it could be us, give a shout and we'll buzz your house!
My favorite role to play today is that of the wise decorator who will advise her clients to turn Halloween ghoulies into Thanksgiving goodies in the blink of an eye.
Gone are the ghosts, goblins and scary things. Now, is the time for warm, glowing colors tempered with soft, old golds and heathered greens. No grinning Jack-o-Lanterns but plenty of Fruits of the Season, winter squash and gourds gathered into baskets, afghans thrown over the back of a favorite chair, and candles clustered into groupings to throw light into the muted atmosphere of November evenings. And if you don't have a pie or cookies in the oven, barely there hints of fruit and spices in scent diffusers or candles are as close as your nearest grocery. Why not pick up a pie from the freezer section and do it the easy way? Then enjoy!
I'm sure I heard you last night Sandi, a western style witch yelling yee-haa! is not common around here ;-) and oh, what a lovely word picture you are painting for today, if that's what your home is like right now, I might just squeeze one last flight out of my broom & swing by for a bit <3
What a wam and cozy word picture you just painted. The peaceful description actually made me relax my shoulders, ahhhhhh
Thanks, Tara. It's breaking my heart to think of telling Miz Pumpkinseed her Glory Days are numbered. I believe I'll let her stay up another few days, and then put her in retirement. The straw, and Indian corn will go right out to the Chicken Ladies and the pumpkins will grace my porch until Thanksgiving or cave-in, whichever comes first. They'll more than likely go to the hen yard as supplemental feeding as fresh forage becomes scarce. Fly by this evening and we'll have pie!
Oh, Tara, you can find an account of my ride on Laurie's post. Thanks for asking.
Mizzy, just puts me in a tizzy!!
Gabby, she'd have you in a knot before you could get your hands out of your pockets.
cute… I spotted all four of you in my imagination which takes off in wild places!!! Now this is sustainable living… coming soon to your thanksgiving table from this stewardship. Awesome lesson. Beautiful pictures…cool friends celebrating what's real.
